Great solid piece of furniture! Bought this island two days ago based on the reviews, look and features. I have to admit it has exceeded my expectations and is really one solid piece of furniture. I had a slight back injury the past few days so I had two friends put it together for me and they did it in about an hour. I was watching most of it and definitely not a one man job but the bulk of it could be done solo with the final attaching of the heavy top is definitely a two person job. Amazing Island This island it beautiful and very well crafted. It has fat exceeded my expectations. The expandable leaf is incredibly sturdy and snaps into place. It’s perfectly level with the rest of the counter and doesn’t sag. The instructions were clear and easy to follow but it was a lot of work. Was able to put it together myself with my wife helping me steady things and lifting the top. The top in incredibly heavy. I almost called a friend to help me put it on but my wife went hulk mode and we made it…
Awesome – fits small kitchen well – LOVE IT!!! This is an amazing piece – arrived safe and sound all the way to the Cayman Islands! Took my general maintenance guy about 3 hours to assemble.The overhang leaf is extremely strong and stable and tough to close which is great as this shows it’s strength!!!
